Fort Weyr stands as the pinnacle of threadfighting, but at the cost of its veterans having any real chance at living, once the Pass has ended.
Benden, Ista, Igen, and Telgar remain silent outside of conclave, preferring privacy to communication between the Weyrs.
In the Snowy Wastes, a young Weyr combats problems of its own, and in the South the inhabitants are ravaged by the very land on which they live.
Myrunth, the Weyrqueen of High Reaches, has risen to mate and been caught. Soon eggs full promise, hope, and new life will rest on the hatching grounds.
With the Pass coming to a close, and High Reaches battle-weary, one can only guess as to what the future will hold.
