Hey-o! Saila and I haven't talked too too much. I think Saila wants to use Onyveth (if I understood correctly), and I'm leaning more towards Cat like you said, Kuro So we've got a trusting mage, a mercenary, and a distant thief who can heal hahaha. Quite the crew! I have NO idea how these three would interact with each other. I would assume...being three women...that there would be conflict haha. I've never met a group of women who didn't disagree. But...as to what they should do...hmmmmmmmmm... I would also assume their meeting would be random. If one of them was in trouble (or even both of your characters) Cat would definitely jump in to help. Could be a monster, or could be something like Onyveth stole from the wrong person hehe...I dunno. Do you guys have any ideas?

Ah. If that is the case then let me think. Kuro never enters an alliance without a good reason. Perhaps Cat or Onyveth hired her as a bodyguard. That means the duo would find the final person in trouble. That sounds simple enough.
It could also be possible that Kuro has a bigger job and she is simply allying herself with these young women to make her end goal easier to achieve. Perhaps she needs to steal blue prints from ShinRa for some curious Al-Bhed or some other scenario. I don't know. Maybe that is too lame. @_@

Lol that is quite a bunch indeed... The idea where Kuro tries to steal blueprints from ShinRa sounds promising, seeing that Cat is very trusting upon meeting, and Onyveth will just about do anything since the term "stealing from ShinRa" is actually used in a sentence. Upon completion of said job, Kuro tries to ditch us but Cat and Ony cling onto Kuro cos they're in need of a strong-headed figure (more lame?) It could start off liiike... Kuro needs a job done but deosn't know how exactly, witnesses Ony steals Cat's magus staff right under her nose, recruits the two but everyone gets on each others nerves somehow, we both get a promised pay but don't get it in the end as a lesson for being too naive and friendly in the world (more lamer?) lol Either way, Ony's stealing from ShinRa, Cat's staff, or both!

I think then, if Kuro wouldn't get into an alliance without a good reason...it would make more sense for Ony to hire her to help screw with Shinra? And Cat would be the one stumbling over them getting into trouble of some sort. It sounds like she would be the best one who would stop and help...and I can't think of a good reason for her to want to hire Kuro haha.
I don't think our ideas are lame haha. Maybe others might...but I think it's do-able!

I was thinking more Cat hired Kuro for more physical protection. Perhaps Onyveth later witnesses the power of Cat's staff in a random battle (Kuro and Cat vs. magical monster). Onyveth then thinks the staff would be a nifty object to steal. Onyveth attempts to steal it while Kuro and Cat are camping but Kuro catches Onyveth in the Cat. Instead of punishing her, Kuro makes a proposal. Instead of punishing Onyveth, Onyveth should help Kuro with her Clan Centurio Mark (the blueprints from ShinRa). Onyveth then finds the plan endearing.
They all go through with the plan, but instead of getting paid, Kuro ditches them. Confused they decide to try to seek Kuro out. Maybe because they think Kuro is strong minded and they want their money.
Perhaps that is a good combination of all our ideas?

I assume probably me or Cat so that Onyveth has a way to enter.

I don't mind starting...though my initial threads usually suck haha. We gonna be close to a FFVII place then? Midgar or Junon? And would Kuro have been expensive?

It does not have to be nearby at the moment. We are probably not in a city at all, but somewhere in the wilderness or the outskirts. Then random encounter, then camping. Or random battle while camping. Depends on what your meaning of expensive is. If Cat hired her, I'm sure she wasn't too expensive.^_^;; If you are not up to it, I can try to push a starter out sometime tonight.

Should I skip it ahead then? So that Onyveth already saw the encounter?

It can probably start mid-encounter so Ony can jump right in (if I'm understanding the question correctly?)
