The cool morning wind whipped through Lance's hair as he jumped off a small rock formation, he looked towards the city of Junon. smoke and other various gases that he could not even begin to comprehend filled the air around him with a slight fog as well as a putrid metallic burning smell. He wrapped himself up in his cloak to cover his face and landed on the pathway that lead to Junon, the grass and plants here appeared to be dying and the animals in this area were either deformed or completely different from what he has seen."Poor things." He strided down the path menacingly with his spear on one shoulder and his free hand lazily resting on the hilt of his sword, which was slung to his left side. The sun seemed to burn with a deep orange, egging him on to go further into the diseased grassland. He kept alert, as he thought at any moment he could be attacked by anything.....or anyone...
As he walked towards the city, he stopped oocasinally to look at rock formations and cliffs that formed during the Merge. How did this happen? Why did this happen? Who did this?, those were one of the many thoughts going through his mind when he looked at these cliffs and rocks. Lance heard a faint rumbling come over him that gradually grew louder and louder, Lance turned around quickly with his spear ready, A two wheeled vehicle with a person in it,which had a strange motor on it. Before he could examine it any closer, the vehicle quickly approached Lance. He moved out of the way right on time before being hit, as the person passed by they yelled "WATCH WHERE YOU'RE WALKING JERK!". He sighed and shook his head he muttered to himself "Crazy people.", and continued down the path.
The city loomed closer and closer as the day wore on, the sun ablaze, partially dimmed by the thin fog in the surrounding area, he heard strange noises and he walked closer to the city, the occasional shadow would dark across the road, suddenly, he heard a strange growling sound. He froze in place and crouched with his spear in his hands, he cautiously shouted "Who goes there?" ready for the attacker. "This place is just full of surprises.." he thought as he slowly backed towards Junon. Suddenly, a pack of wolves came out of the bushes, their fur was matted and in some places, bloody and torn. At first, he felt almost bad..But then one of the wolves jumped at him and bit him arm, thankfully, his mithril armguard protected him from the biting attack from the wolf. He knocked the wolf away with his spear. Two more jumped on his back and tried to go for his neck, Lance used his free hand to charge up a Thunder spell and pressed it on his armor, even though he electrocuted himself a bit, the wolves were hit by most of the damage of the spell. Lance saw three figures in the distance opposite to the city and though" They could be of some help..." he found himself surrounded by them..Waiting for him to make a move......

As Catalina slept, she dreamt extensively. In her dreams, she went back in time to when her mother was alive. It was a tearful reunion (on her part at least) and the first half of her dream was spent hugging and kissing her family and listening to old stories. She was chastised for not learning more curative magics, told about her father's day, and finally asked about what she has been doing with her life. The question brought more tears to her eyes as she explained what had happened in the wilderness. She had to further explain how she had come into possession of the Magus Rod, by betting her mother's Healing Rod that she had been given just before the woman's death. Her mother thankfully hadn't had a problem with it. "Sweetheart, I can't fault you for acquiring a better weapon. I just want to make sure you are protected." Cat had launched herself at her mother again in a tight hug, causing the older woman to laugh fondly. "Don't worry, my dear. You will get it back. Your friend will help you, and I'm sure you will be able to track it down." She had just opened her mouth to respond when she was roused from her sleep. Wiping her eyes discreetly (for tears had leaked from them while she slept), she looked around sleepily to find Daiyu packing everything up. Did I sleep ALL night? Normally she woke up once or twice. A blanket still covered her, and she wondered where it had come from. Raising her eyes back to the woman whose back was to her, a slight smile lifted her lips. Cat felt a little bad for not helping tear down their camp. Pushing herself to her feet, she folded up the blanket just as Daiyu finished putting the tent away. "Um, thank you...for letting me sleep." she said quietly, but her smile was still present. She felt a little better than she did last night, and certainly more well-rested. Moving to Daiyu's side, she placed the blanket on top of the tent. "You could have woken me though. Next time you should let me help." she whispered with a gentle teasing nudge to her bodyguard's arm. When she was handed her breakfast, she accepted it with a smile. "Thank you." Her voice had returned to her normal volume again and she quickly ate the food, assuming that Daiyu wanted to be on her way. Brushing the crumbs from her clothing, she stood with another smile. "Ready!" Throwing her pack over her shoulder, she decided not to let the fact that she had been taken advantage of bother her. "I've never been to Junon before. What's it like? Is it a big city like a few of the others I've seen?" Thamasa was a very small town, so it had been quite a shock to come out into the world and find massive cities. "Did you mean what you said last night? That we should be able to find her again and get my rod back?" Well, the 'get my rod back' part was her own addition. Cat was hopeful that it would be fairly easy to get her weapon returned, and her optimistic attitude had returned with the sun. "I don't understand why she helped us, only to steal from us." Or from me, rather. "She didn't seem like a bad person. She saved my life..." She had saved Cat's life. Why? [Feel free to take them wherever you like in your post She'll be a little more chatty today...probably about generic stuff haha]

Kuro was confused at why Catalina was whispering to her. There was no one else around, but perhaps Catalina was merely trying to put emphasis on her joke. Kuro rewarded the feeble attempt with a polite smile and a shake of her head.
But it was a while before she responded to the girl’s question about Junon. Oh how ShinRa had corrupted what used to be a simple fishing village. What was left of the humbleness was literally destroyed thanks to ShinRa’s filth and recklessness. However, telling the girl the story might help her realize how harsh the world was. “Junon was once a fishing village. They used to have dolphin shows and all you could see was blue – Bright blue sea and sky.” Kuro’s eyes seemed to reflect she was living in the past. “But a power company was bent on, well, power via machines and weapon, while tearing the living energy out of the planet.” Even though Kuro had nothing against ShinRa despite fighting against them in the war, she did not care for them either. “The company built there second headquarters above the poor fishing village. They no longer lived in light, but rather, they lived literally in the shadow of ShinRa. The waters and air turned black with pollution. Yet they still try to strive despite this hardship.” Kuro frowned. Really, this was a sad story. “However, ShinRa’s city, Upper Junon, flourishes quite well, and is quite a sight to see.”
Kuro mulled over Catalina’s question about the stranger thoughtfully. She looked left and looked right. On her distant left was the thief that stole from them and on her distant right was a man fighting wolves. Kuro was not going to let her charge run headlong into a pack of wolves. Therefore, she decided to turn the girls interest to Onyveth.
“Why, yes, I do believe we will run into her. Look over there. There she is.” Kuro pointed over to Onyveth but made the decision to let her charge to make the decision on going to confront her. “You can ask her all the questions you please. I am sure she doesn’t have any answers to tell you.”

ance breathed slowly as he watched the wolves that surrounded him. They were ready to take him down, and he was ready to make his move. One of the wolves jumped at him. He knocked it away with his trusty spear and he lowered himself slightly, waiting for the right moment to jump. The wolves snarled and growled at him, waiting for him to attack one of them...They knew that he was more powerful than they were. Lance watched one of them back up. Lance mustered all of the energy in his legs and jumped off the ground as high as he could "..This is going to wear me out if I keep jumping like this..." He used acent into the air to his advantage and pulled his spear up to his shoulder and pointed down at the path where the wolves were, they were looking up at him, ready for him to come down so they could pounce on him the instant he landed. He flipped himself over in mid-air, just as he was taught during his training, and dived down in the air as if it were water. He watched the ground get closer, he thrusted his spear in front of him and landed. The energy of the attack knocked the wolves away from their prey and only three survived, They came back running at Lance. He smirked and assumed a offensive stance.
One by one, the wolves couched, preparing to attack, three of them ran at Lance and went for his face and legs. Lance grabbed the one going for his neck and flung it to the side. He jumped out of the way just in time to dodge the oncoming attack. He decided he had enough of these pests... Sparks emiited from his fingertips as he charged up a Fira spell... He jumped out of the group and unleashed his spell at his savage attackers. The wolves were engulfed in the inferno and they ran away, never to bother Lance again. He sighed with relief and slowly walked down the path.
Lance stopped and took in his surroundings. The air seemed to thicken around him as he got closer to the city. To his left, a pile of stone, and some broken machinery. And to his right was a dead bush. He frowned slightly, took out his gourd and drank from it. He stashed it away and continued walking down the path..slowly but surely...

"Hmmm... I probably shouldn't have spent all that money buying potions from that moogle in the Eruyt Village. Then again, I should be thankful I wasn't turned into a viera arrow pincusion. Those bunny girls can be very ," Kris mumbled as he walked through the pathway that led to Junon, the first destination on his self-imposed quest. The spirits told him to head straight for that fishing village. They didn't actually tell why, but then they told him NOT to buy that many potions from the moogle.
"Just when I remembered I can use White Magic..."
Walking on the path, he thought back about the unexpected encounter he had while stuck and lost in Golmore Jungle. He came upon something called an Elder Wyrm, and apparently it had a taste for fresh Hume meat. So he had no choice but to fight. Feeling that strange power course through him, he summoned his twin guns and engaged the huge dragon. The Sporefall made the fight much harder than he first expected, but he was prepared. In fact, with his Soul Barrage, he gave the dragon a taste of its own medicine. Blinded, silenced, confused, the dragon eventually fell from so many bullets deep in its body. It saddened him to see it become part of the Golmore Jungle, the first death he ever inflicted, his first fight ever since coming out of the Ancient City of Giruvegan. But the abundance of life that sprung from its corpse reminded him of what he was fighting for. Innocent souls deserve protection; sinful ones deserve judgement.
"Now... I wonder what I'll find in Junon? Shemhazai never said anything about a starting place. I guess I'll have to find out for myself then!"
Up ahead of him, he saw two figures talking among themselves. He squinted his eyes, trying to get a better look at them both. One of them was small, with white hair. She seemed to be troubled by something, judging from the troubled look in her face. The other one was taller, with black hair and a very mean expression. When he got closer, they began to move towards the left. He knew it was impolite to invade on other people's privacy, but he can't help but feel inclined to help them in whatever situation they might be in.
With a flick of his wrist, he summoned a spirit to his side. "Yes... Kris...?" it hissed.
"Can you go there and see what they were talking about?"
"As... you wish..."
The ethereal form of the spirit vanished for a few seconds. As he watched from a distance he caught the sounds of fighting coming over from the right of the path. He had half a mind to rush over there and help, but before he could do anything the spirit came back with news.
"The white-haired one... she lost something... important. The black-haired one... will guide her... to the thief..." the spirit said, before dissipating into mist.
"A thief. I guess I'm more than obligated now to offer them a little help. Now to go over to them and-"
He stopped, his ears picking up the sound of a raging blaze, followed by numerous footsteps. Turning to look, he saw about two to four wolves charging towards the two women. Instinct took over, and he ran fast to meet the oncoming predators. Charging his hands with purple light, he summoned the twin guns given to him by Shemhazai. In one fluid motion he took aim, and fired.

The air was cool and breezy. The morning fog wrapped itself her and her surroundings but it wasn't thick enough to lose sight from the city as she slowly made her way towards it. This would be the first time Onyveth ever set foot at Junon; she had seen in on television maybe hundreds of times, seen pictures of it. She knew, like Midgar, it too was practically dominated by the Shin-Ra, and gave a mental scowl at the thought of them. She was however, thankul the city was practically military base so finding so good weapons dealer to sell this rod should be no problem. Onyveth bit her lower lip just thinking about that white-haired girl and tried to brush her out of her thoughts. 'Now's not the time to feel sorry, Ony...' she shook her head and looked back up at Junon. She felt her chest was about to explode from guilt and remorse alone, but mentally told herself over and ove, she was doing this for a good cause. As the raven-haired admired the city, she thought it strange to think that the famous cannon that used to reside here was moved to Midgar a mere five years ago; although it felt like a lifetime ago, she still recalled it like it was yesterday.
She soon realized that there was someone in the distance, but the raven-haired girl was unable to make out who it was exactly. It appeared to be someone wearing... full body armour? Ony assumed it was some Shin-Ra SOLDIER battling with a pack of wolves as if such an attempt would protect the city from an invading army of woodland creatures; she couldn't help but slightly chuckle at the thought. Her first instincts were to aid the stranger, but hesitated in the last moment; she watched as the fighting ensued and it all ended with a great fireball. It had killed off some of the beasts, while the rest had fled heading her direction. Onyveth stood still, one hand clutching her knapsack tightly and the other gripping onto her katana. Fortunately, the wolves simply ran past her and seemed too afraid to want to get into another fight.
''Hey YOU!'' she yelled out to the armour-clad warrior. Her tone was a mix of annoyance and aggrivation; she was still hungry and hadn't seen a proper town in a week and the LAST thing she wanted was to be taken out by a pack of wolves on Junon's doorstep! Onyveth continued to trudge towards the city, and it became apparent that the man was headed there as well. Once she was within earshot of him, she called out to him once more and made it clear she was in a foul mood today. ''Why don'cha watch where you send those things off next time! They coulda eaten me back there!''
Upon closer inspection, Ony realized this man wasn't SOLDIER at all. His armour was red and gold, and noticed some sort of insignia or embelm that surely didn't mean Shin-Ra. 'The Merge really did bring some strange people from strange lands, didn't it?' she thought to herself. She said nothing more to the stranger, and continued on her way. Once she had reached the entrance of Junon, it was nothing like she expected; it was a small, dismal town, and Onyveth was almost certain she could smell fresh fish in the distance. Her insides churned at the first wiff of it, and only reminded her of how empty her stomach was to begin with. She could see the upper plate looming overhead, and knew instantly that's where she needed to be. The only question was...
''How the HELL do I get there?!''

Cat watched as Daiyu hesitated before she answered her question. She tilted her head curiously as she waited patiently for an answer, which eventually came. It sounded wonderful, and she wondered if Daiyu had ever lived there. Her tone changed slightly when she spoke of the power company that basically sounded like they destroyed the city. "That's awful." she whispered as she covered her mouth with her hand. "Can the people below not do anything? If it's affecting the air and the water...that would be a serious issue!" She couldn't imagine the people from Thamasa putting up with that kind of treatment, though they could just blast the offenders away if they so chose. She didn't really expect an answer, for if they could have done something they likely would have by now.
When the conversation turned to the stranger once again, she watched Daiyu look around. Her gaze followed her bodyguard's when she looked away and she saw a man being attacked by a pack of wolves of some sort. Cat's mouth dropped open in surprise and she took a small step towards the man before Daiyu recaptured her attention by pointing out the thief in question. Looking back to where the other woman pointed, she hesitated and looked back just in time to see a large explosion around the man battling the wolves. Three wolves burst from the fire, running towards them, and Cat's eyes widened in surprise. With a thunder spell on her lips, though it took quite a bit of effort to concentrate, she waited for them to get closer. All of a sudden, a strange man was in front of them and firing his guns. One wolf fell, and the other two kept coming. They didn't attack, instead running right past them, and past the thief as well. Guess they just wanted to get away to eat another day.
Hearing the thief shout something to the other stranger, Cat turned back to the thief and made a decision. "Um...thanks! For the help! But I...uh...I gotta go." she thanked the stranger that had appeared, ignored the man who had caused the explosion, shot a glance towards Daiyu indicated her intent, and took off towards the thief. It seemed the woman hadn't even seen them standing there. It made sense, they weren't directly in the line of sight, but they had been close enough. Or so she thought. Sprinting across the grass, Cat caught up to the woman just as she reached the city's entrance. A small grin lifted her lips as she heard the exasperation in the woman's tone, but it fell quickly as she wondered if her rod would still be there.
"Hey!" she called out and sidestepped the thief to stand in front of her, blocking her path. "My rod...I want it back." Trying to sound firm, she clenched her fists at her side as she realized she sounded anything but. It didn't help that she was winded by her sprint. Her eyes softened a bit as she took a deep breath. "Please...I need it. Please give it back." Why did she steal it in the first place? While it was true that she still had her magic, she was a lot more useful when she could defend herself physically as well...at least to an extent.
Looking over to see where Daiyu had gotten to, she instead forced herself to keep her eyes on the thief. I need to stand on my own. I need to do this. "Why did you take it...after saving me? I don't understand..." Her tone had changed significantly, and now took on a pleading quality. She hadn't meant to sound so meek, but unfortunately it was just part of her character. She cared too much, even for those that had done her wrong. But it didn't make sense to her. Something must have pushed her to it. "Look..." she sighed, "...I don't care that you took it." Liar. "I just need it back. Please? Can I have it back?" She didn't want to attack the woman in question, and probably couldn't if she even wanted to. Attacking monsters was different than people.

Kris watched the two girls confront the thief from a safe distance, atop an overlooking building. Well, it wasn't so much confronting than begging for the stolen item. Normally, he would've rushed over and demanded the thief to return the young girl's wand, at gunpoint if he had to. But something about the thief's troubled expression stayed his hand. As far as he could tell, the thief was torn between fulfilling her needs and feeling sorry for the little mage. He was no expert in reading people's feelings, but their souls reflect them as perfectly as a still pond. Within the thief were two colors in constant struggle; the dark gray of basic greed, and the bright pink of empathy. Confusion took him as he thought about Shemhazai's instructions...
Judge the tainted souls, she said.
Based solely on that he had enough incentive to shoot the thief down. She had much taint in her... but then Kris saw other colors - bright ones. Now he was more confused, because when she risked a glance to the young mage he found the same swirl of dark and light inside. Her soul was tainted, but to Kris she looked like someone who couldn't - note: couldn't, not wouldn't - even begin to think of hurting someone, without the right reasons.
"I'll just sort put my thoughts later," Kris stared at the stand-off between the two girls. Instead of his mind, he decided to follow his heart. "For now, I think I'll help the little mage get her rod back."
Waving a hand in the air, he summoned a ghost to his side. This one looked particularly nasty, with sunken eyes, sagging skin, and exposed teeth as if his lips were torn from his face. "What... is your will... master?"
"You see that girl over there?" Kris pointed to the thief, and the ghost responded with a slight nod. "Wait for a couple of minutes. If she doesn't return a rod to that other girl with white hair by then, then I'd like you to put on a show for for her."
The ghost's blank look met with Kris' sly one. "Show...?"
"Just do what you do best; rattling death throes, chains dragging over the ground, mist covering the entire area, the works! Set the ambiance. Send shivers wracking through her entire body. And for the finale, get behind her and whisper about the 'cursed' rod she's holding, and the horrors that would befall her should she refuse to return it."
The ghost glanced at the troubled thief, a macabre smile playing on his lips. "As you wish... master..."

Kuro had the intense feeling she was being watched. Possibly, because of the crowd she and her charge seemed to have inherited. Kuro watched warily as the wolves ran toward them. The blast was big enough to scare any sensible creature, so Kuro predicted that these wolves were no longer bloodthirsty. They were probably just defending their territory and, instead of wanting to be turned to ash, gave up their territory to live. On the other hand, perhaps they would return one day for revenge.
Kuro stood motionless as the wolves raced pass them. However, what did alarm her were the gunshots and the rushing bullets. Was there a fourth person that she did not notice? That must be why she felt like she was being watched. She tried to look to where the source of the noise was. Nevertheless, it seemed the person had moved from where the sound originated. At this point Kuro’s gaze turned toward Catalina, who now trudged off toward the current thief.
Dark brown hair blowing in the wind, Kuro decided to stay a few yards behind Catalina. This was to give Catalina her ‘room’ she so craved. This confused the older woman. Why would Catalina sobadly want to prove herself to Kuro? Catalina hired her as a bodyguard, yet she treated Kuro like an older sister she had to prove herself to. This girl needed confidence badly.
However, she kept an eye out for this mystery gunman. The darkness inside her, an entity named Uod,enjoyed this new found eagerness of finding the prey. Shaking her head, she mentally fought the darkness back. She wasn’t here to assassinate nor was she in impending danger. But Uod cared not for these reasons.
Kuro fought back this darkness rising and instead focused on the interaction between her charge and the thief. The thief had skills, but she wondered if they were enough to help Kuro in her current goals.

Ony took a moment to ponder if she should continue to look around for a way that leads to the city, or if whether she should admire the scenery and take a breather. One of the best things about travelling alone was that she could go wherever she wanted, whenever she pleased; she recalled a time when she could stare at the setting set and marvel at its beauty while her friend Natsuki thought it boring and pointless. She wanted to see everything this new world had to offer, and that included the places she had never been to! According to locals, there was a beach nearby. It wasn't lavish, but it was definitly worth a look...
Onyveth's thoughts were interrupted when a familiar voice called out from a distance. One wouldn't believe the surprise that were racing through her head once she realized it was the same woman from last night! She's gutsy, she admitted. There wasn't any point trying to deny what she had done; Yes, she stole the rod, ran off with it and simply stood there and stared back into those sad eyes without so much as battering an eyelash. Under normal cicumstances Ony was quite susceptible to the pleas of others, but all the pleading in the world couldn't turn her sights away from her personal goal. She gave a quizical tilt of her head when the woman inquired as to why she saved her from that coeurl. Onyveth just shook her head. ''Don't get me wrong sweetie; I'm a thief, not a killer. If you ask me, nobody should ever have to die...''
She casually looked about her surroundings; if this woman was here, the dark-haired one shouldn't be further away. Onyveth removed her leather jacket and stuffed it her knapsack - she thought about making a quick getaway and her favourite piece of clothing was starting to be a hindrance, but would rather keep it safe.
''Listen,'' she started in a casual yet suave manner, ''It's nothing personal, and to be honest, you seem really nice. It's just...'' for the first time words had failed the raven-haired woman. The guilt she bared for this girl equalled to the lump that forming at the back of her throat. She truly believed her cause justified her actions and didn't expect anybody to understand nor did she intend on explaining personal . ''...it's just that I need this too.''
''Tell ya what... ya want it back?'' with her right hand Onyveth reached into her knapsack, pulled out the magical rod and showed it to her. She could somehow feel her equipped materias reacting to its power. ''If you can take back your weapon from me, then it's all yours - I'll even promise never to steal from you or your friend again. Do whatever ya need'a do and don't hold back'' she twirled the rod in-between her fingers before tucking it under her arm. Making sure her belongings were secured, she dashed to her right-hand side and effortlessly (at least seemingly) ran up the wall of a run-down motel building. She then latched onto a large drainage pipe that went down alongside the building, and climbed up (ooc; parkour-style!). Within a few seconds, she was already atop of a roof, two stories high, and looked down at the woman below.
''I've got a few goals, you see, and I mean'a do just about anything to accomplish 'em. And from the way I see it, you do too if you wanna get this back.'' she twirled the rod in-between her fingers once again before stashing it in her knapsack. ''It's a dog eat dog world out here, so you'd better be able to keep up! Laters!'' and with that Ony turned away and took her time before leaping to the next building, getting higher off the ground. That little stunt back there left her a little breathless but she wasn't too worried about getting caught; she was more concerned about finding a route to the city. Quick.

Why does she need it? There are other places to get even stronger weapons. Ones that she can actually make use of. Cat's eyes were drawn to her Magus Rod when it was revealed and she took a small step towards it. The thief's next question stopped her cold, though. She wants to fight for it? Her hesitation was all the woman needed to take off. "What...? She's...running up the wall!" she exclaimed incredulously as she turned back to Daiyu.
The thief recaptured her attention as she taunted the pair of them (or just Cat, really), and her mouth dropped open in surprise. I'll never catch her like that! Her frustration mounted, and to her horror her eyes filled with tears once more. No, I will not cry anymore. "Daiyu...what do I do? I can't...there is no way I can catch her. Not like that." She didn't want to attack the other woman. It was the last thing on her mind, though a spell would make it much easier to re-obtain her weapon. But...especially with the woman hopping on rooftops, it could kill her!
"What do we do now?" she asked her hired...bodyguard. "Do you..." She was hesitant to ask, but she didn't know what else to do. "Do you think you can catch her?" She felt more than a little bad exploiting Daiyu like this, but she had skills that Cat couldn't even dream of using. "I don't...want to hurt her..."
Letting out a huff of frustration, Cat turned back to the escaping thief. "Either way...we have to try. I'll stay on the ground...if you think you can catch up to her?" Taking off at a run, she made her way towards the city and followed the thief at a distance (not that she could get any closer if she tried). She would use her magic as a last resort.

Kuro suppressed releasing a soft sigh at the girls who seemed to be having an awkward exchange. Really everything would be so much easier if young people learned to communicate properly. Kuro blamed all this fancy technology for the communication issues. Thin long fingers ran through her hair as she thought, ‘Man, I must be getting old’. Eyes watched as Onyveth ran up a wall and away.
Kuro looked over the younger woman, Catalina. Honestly, how did this girl get anything done? Sometimes you need to fight back for the things you hold dear. But, instead of fighting for what she cherished, she pulled the power of Kuro’s contract to take back the stolen items.
As she watched the young woman scurry off, Kuro reached into her backpack and took a few seconds to find what she was looking for. She finally ditched the backpack, thinking it too heavy to take with her, and held her item out firmly. The black metal of the grapple gun shined in the sun. Kuro passed a few buildings, never letting her eyes leave Onyveth’s small form once she found it. Out of the corner of her eyes she found ledge on a building to grapple on.
While she was running, she raised the gun and pulled the trigger. The hook grabbed a ledge that was right before Onyveth. Before she knew it, she heard the hook lock on. The gun jerked her forward and smoothly her feet lifted off the ground. Within seconds she went through the air and was at the ledge Onyveth just passed. With a woman with decent strength, she pulled herself up and over the ledge.
She did not stop moving. That was one thing war taught you, keep moving or die. Kuro could feel her adrenaline rising as she smoothly chased behind Onyveth. She held out the grappling gun again. However, this time she swooped her arm in an arc in order to curve the grappling hook projectile’s trajectory. The grappling hook then found itself swooping around Onyveth’s ankle’s with Kuro’s hoping to trip her or cause her to fall. It could break her contractors heart if Kuro damaged Onyveth too much.
