Appearance: Kain stands at six feet even and holds himself in a royal and stalwart manner no matter what condition and situation the Dragoon finds himself in. Although his old uniform was colorful and 'purple' with the main crux of it's pallet; the Holy Dragoon has since changed to a darker Dragoon uniform to symbolize his fusion with his 'Dark' half after passing the Mt. Ordeal Trials. His full-body armor is accented with sharp edges and intricate designs to signify his past service to Baron and it's King. His long blonde hair is held back behind the helm as a ponytail; hidden by the dark hair that streams from the helm. The double-ended lance has one side for thrusting and the curved end for slashing and cutting.
Personality: Kain is a natural leader. His heroic nature and demanding presence combine to bring an ambient moral boost that is hard for most to resist. A quiet and reserved warrior; Kain remains complacent even when questioning the orders of those above him. "It's best to be silent and be thought inadequate than to speak and remove all doubt." Honor is important to the orphan and has molded him into the warrior he is today. To others he seems harsh even when he only intends sarcasm or general humor. The authoritative and distinguished voice over-shadows others when he feels he must make a point clear.

His harshness had brushed off on Kain during the limited time he had with his son before his untimely death. After his 'assassination'; his son was adopted by the King of Baron as the adoptive brother for Cecil Harvey. They were competitive from the very start. Kain wasn't warm toward Cecil at first, partly do to the deep-seeded lifestyle of his late father. He was slightly jealous of Cecil due to the King's favor of Cecil as a son instead of himself. Rose always ended up intervening when they conflicted with one another and became close with them. Kain had become fond of her in a way that was indescribable if without love in words.Unbeknownst to him at the time; Cecil and Rosa had been having feelings for one another for a long time.
The King seemed to push for Kain's steps into a Dark Knight such as Cecil but was denied as Kain wished to follow in the footsteps of his father. His care for the dragon of which belonged to his father inspired the shattered Dragoons to continue their vigilance as an operating unit and reunited the fallen warriors. Throughout the events of Golbez's insurrection; Kain supported Cecil. He did, however, falter with the control of Cecil's brother over his mind. He was made to be Golbez's right-hand man and acted out his wishes to obtain the crystals. In Fabul, Kain turned on Cecil and over-powered him easily. Before he could kill his childhood friend, Rosa came between them and demanded he ceased his assault. Kain was overcome with emotion as the woman he loved defended his long time rival. Golbez took this opportunity to take Rosa away, allowing Kain to ascertain the crystal at his leisure.
In his new and forceful post, Kain agreed to protect Rosa in the Tower of Zot as to keep the minion's of Golbez at bay.Beyond this duty, Kain continued to betray his friends with various orders from Golbez despite his personal morals. It was until Tellah intervened that Kain remained under his control. The powerful and deadly Meteor spell badly injured Golbez and gave Kain a moment of freedom from the man. Once again he vowed to assist Cecil in his journey. During his apology and revelation; Kain admitted his love for Rosa but to no avail. Kain was privy to Golbez's plan and instructed Cecil as to the Dark Crystals that existed in the underworld. Kain remained strong as he served with Cecil through the underworld and back. It was not until they pursued the last crystal that Golbez took the opportunity to control him yet again. Kain took the last Crystal against his own will and vanished yet again. When in time, Zemus made his intentions clear to Cecil and friends, Kain was freed from Golbez's grip yet again.
Again he would be tested as Zemus attempted to take his mind but this time it was resisted at last. After the final battle was over, Kain remained in command of the Red Wings at Cecil's behest. He was not present for the wedding between Cecil and Rosa due to his fear and guilt of his own actions in the past. In an effort to cleanse himself of this despair, Kain made his way to Mt. Ordeals just as Cecil had done. The Dragoon vanished for a long time since. In the Mirror chamber of Mt. Ordeal, the dragoon encountered the Dark Kain. It was a manifestation of his own darkness that he had to overcome to absolve himself of his past crimes. He failed in destroying it as it escaped the chamber in his place. His path crossed with Ceodore eventually as he attempted to guide him to his destined 'battle'. When the group returned to Baron, Kain confronted his dark side for the second time. Upon the defeat of the manifestation; he was absorbed into the Dragoon. The great spirit 'Kluya' acknowledged Kain's strength and granted him the long-sought power of light. Kain became known as the Holy dragoon. Kain remained loyal from this point on until his inevitable change back from the Dragoon's to the Red Wings as Commander.
After the immense struggle for the world had ended, Kain had no time to rest. The Merge had ripped the kingdom that they had known into disarray. Baron was in panic over the sudden and immense changes; naturally from the previous events in their own realm. On orders the Holy Dragoon and the Red Wing fleet set out on a reconnaissance mission to 'feel' out the new populace and places. Their mission was to confirm or deny the fears of the people and bring answers back to ease their minds. After reaching Fabul, the Dragoon was informed of the situation and how the new people were passing through there to the port cities that appeared to the south. It was an unnatural and inexplicable occurrence even to the monks. His fleet moved again to the south to examine these places for themselves. Distrust and defensive natures clashed at times with unknown beings; giving the Red Wings a very different reputation in the new world. Now he would return to Baron with the news of the new realm. Surely this would disrupt them even more. Although with the right attitude and receptive diplomacy, the kingdom may be able to keep peace after all.
