When the war of the beasts brings about the world's end
The goddess descends from the sky
Wings of light and dark spread afar
She guides us to bliss, her gift everlasting
The goddess descends from the sky
Wings of light and dark spread afar
She guides us to bliss, her gift everlasting

Genesis Rhapsodos
Relationships, interactions and knowledge
---------
NOTE/FOREWORD: All of these are preliminary and not set in stone, and generally represent what Genesis knows/perceives about certain individuals that have affected him in some way that he may/may not have threaded with yet. If you want me to change/remove/add a person from the list, please let me know. Feel free to post your desired character's knowledge/relationship here and request a particular interaction status as well, even if the characters have not yet met in a thread yet.

Aeris Gainsborough:
The last cetra, and perhaps was the single greatest hope for mankind. I may not have met her, but in my slumber within the world I dreamed of her through my connection to the planet. A woman of seemingly infinite love and compassion, she sacrificed herself to save the world before the merge and to protect that which mattered most to her. It is to my horror that I, who bear the wing of shadow, was responsible for causing her so much pain. I caused the death of the one she loved, threw the brother she did not know to madness, and set in motion a chain of events that even forced her to give her own life. She is perhaps the antithesis of I, A sister to offset the dark brothers JENOVA bore and another touched by the goddess. If only she were still alive...Perhaps then the world could be truly free of beings such as I.
-Genesis-
Genesis, while having never directly been in contact or even seen Aeris, nevertheless knows a fair amount about the young woman and holds a deep set respect, admiration and even love for her memory. Having seen the events, both past and present, that he caused, Genesis believes that he is both directly and indirectly responsible for Aeris death, and as a result holds himself responsible for "guarding the world" in her and her race's steed. Unaware that the woman is in fact alive in the merged world, Genesis does not know this woman's knowledge or feelings regarding him, but believes that the possibility of animosity towards him is high.
And completely justified.
Zack Fair
For Evidence of my crimes, you need look no further then the 1st class SOLDIER known as Zack Fair. if Aeris misfortune would be considered tragic, then Zack's would highlight the true horror of the sins I have committed. It was my stubborn pride and delusions of grandeur that dragged his mentor and my friend, Angeal, into the abyss and in turn condemned Zack to suffer the vile machinations of Hojo for five terrible years. It was my madness and insanity that nearly killed his friend and inevitably sentenced Zack to death. He was the hero, not I. A true SOLDIER who wielded his mentor's weapon, the buster sword, with pride. In the end, I still do not know why he or the goddess spared me, but I do know that the world is much poorer for his loss. He was the last person to die that I could call "friend".
I should have died that day, not him...His only mistake was upholding his honor to try and protect his best friend and returned to that which mattered most to him. He should not have been punished so harshly by fate.
-Genesis-
Genesis confrontations and conflicts with Zack are perhaps some of the most major shaping forces in his life. The "enemy" of Genesis during the crisis bearing his name, Zack alone endured incredible hardship and strain to face down and stop Genesis plots from coming to fruition. Ultimately, their final duel took place in the ruined depths of Genesis own home town of Banora as Genesis coveted the mysterious "goddess" materia. While it is unknown to everyone but Genesis and Zack what exactly happened, the results in history are evidently clear: Genesis lived and was taken to deepground, while Zack was killed by the might of an entire shin-ra battalion before rescue could arrive. Genesis has a sort of Rivalry with Zack, but at this point honors his memory by using his power to protect the world. Zack's own heroic actions are largely responsible for preventing Genesis from continuing on the same path of madness that Sephiroth took.
Like Aeris, Genesis is not aware that Zack is in fact alive, and also believes that like her the possibility of Zack possessing hatred toward Genesis is high and very understandable.
Cloud Strife
A victim of being at the wrong place at the wrong time. Cloud was a young soldier recruit who befrended Zack and, like his fellow first class SOLDIER, ultimately became a toy to the vile and contemptable doctor hojo for five years. Zack, however, managed to save this young man through sheer commitment and willingness to fight against impossible odds even when facing certain death. It is my understanding that Zack is largely Cloud's mentor and, as such, even with the hero's death carries on his legacy. In my absence he not only stopped meteorfall with the help of his comrades, but even defeated Sephiroth twice. I have been trying to keep an eye on his movements with little success. I believe that, when the time for my judgement ultimately arrives, it is he that will stand before me, the monster, and emerge the hero once again in Zack's absence.
