Lance suggested adding one, so I said I'd put it up for a poll. If you're not familiar with cell phone subforums, they'd give you a place to make a thread for each of your characters' phones (for those that have them), so that other characters can leave voice or text messages for them. It would be restricted to characters who already know each other in canon or RP, obviously. I'll leave the poll running until the conclusion of the activity check.

Also, since my character (as nigh unused as may be, should fix that) isn't technologically inclined, here's his full and entirely canon interaction with phones.
In a gypsy tent. Giada: <Here, a guy dropped this after I dropped him. Present.> Aschen: <This is what the outsiders call> a cellphone. <It's for distance communication.> Giada: <Huh, yeah. I saw him talking to it. I had a look at it, it seems simple. You push the numbers and images on the screen to get what you want.> Aschen: <You keep it.> Giada: <You're the smart one. Just look at the screen and push the buttons. I got to a game on there, something about ferocious chocobos.> Aschen: Um... Touchscreen... Sudden short circuits, shrieking and kicking ensue. The camp had to be relocated shortly as the incident led to a minor, localized chemical incident.

Because I tend to ponder about things--due perhaps to my habitual tendency towards neglecting acquisition of what some people tend to refer to as "getting a life"--I must inquire about matters of logistics.
I don't imagine there would be much compatibility between the cell pones of ff7 and ff13--as that I would assume both run on a different system. Their technology looked to be entirely different. I'm also wondering about how the cell phones would work, exactly. I assume cell towers? Wich might bring about a limitation in their range. Also, there doesn't seem to be an active space program across the games, except maybe FF7, which isn't much at all. Therefore, I would assume that there would be no GPS capabilities, due to a lack of satellites. Wi-fi? Maybe wherever the world wide network has been set up. Would datanet be in existence yet?
