The ambient sound of jackhammers, store alarms, and honking horns. The hustle-bustle chatter of crowded sidewalks. Concrete and metal as far as the eye can see. The unending gray of overcast skies and the chilled air which held the faintly acidic taste of mako pollution. This was Midgar--the city of Edge.
Home Sweet Freakin’ Home.
It felt like it had been years since he’d last stepped foot in Edge, although it couldn’t have been more than one. Yet, after all the covert missions and travel that he’d been up to lately, Reno was more than ready to take a breather, kick back a beer, have a smoke, and pick up a pretty gal to take back to her place. Too bad the latter part would have to wait until another time, though. Something told him that his new partner would throughly kick his ass if he even so much as thought about dragging her into one of those dives. And so it was that he found himself stepping into 7th Heaven. It wasn’t his normal choice for a watering hole--a bit too family friendly for his likes--but it had been a long time since he had stopped by to check in on old friends, anyway. That, and the bartender was damn hot with a fine set of T&A. He figured it was about time he stopped in to check those out, as well.
Discretely.
Besides, he and his partner did have other, Turk related, reasons for needing to come this way. Might was well get it over and done with, now, while they were in the area.
“Well, here it is,” Reno drawled cheerfully as he stepped up to the entry, "Welcome to 7th Heaven: the bar, hangout, and safe-house for all surviving members of you-know-what."
Pulling his hands from his pockets, he reached out the handle with his left. Then, propping door open with the palm, he half turned to glance back toward Cissnei, and grinned. "You haven't been here before, right? Come on in, I'll introduce ya."
