Please tell me that I'm not the only one that remembers Legend of Dragoon. It's an old PS1 game, about as old as FFVII, and as of May 1st, it'll be available on the PSN. If you've played it, you probably already know that you should pick it up again. If you haven't? DO IT. Obviously, it does suffer from the same things all old RPGs did - the market for them hadn't been established yet, so not a lot of effort was put into localization in things like translation and voice acting, and yes, it does show.
Yes, voice acting. Voice acting and high-quality cutscenes that look at least as good as FFVIII's, despite the fact that the game came out when VII did. This game is gorgeous. Despite its occasionally awkward translations and most often really bad voice acting, LoD is still one of my favorites, and has been since before I ever picked up my first FF game. Only the cutscenes and attacks are voice acted, with the former rare enough that it's easy enough to shrug off the quality, and the latter not so bad. Definitely not enough to detract from the game as a whole.
Okay, okay, I'll stop trying to make you guys want to buy it now. But you should. Because I said so. And I'm really fucking excited about seeing it widely available again. <3

I played through LoD several times, and it was one of my favorites :3 Although the game does have its pitfalls and drags kind of long in the middle, I'm pretty sure any RPGer worth their salt has played LoD XD
I had an emulator for it on my compy that my bro used to take turns playing, haha~
I probably won't pick it up right away because it's already on my completed game list (and I have several Final Fantasies that STILL aren't), but it's awesome to see it getting rereleased. <3

You'd be surprised how many people DON'T know it now. It's definitely got a huge cult following among the people who did play it, but the people who didn't pick it up back then have never even heard of it. It's depressing! D:
