Well, I was discussing this with Kupo. I've been feeling like there are a lot of villains here... So, we might as well get this out of the way. We'll be using the D&D 3.5 system, since I feel it has the best balance between simplicity and variety of categories, and, well, I'm making the bloody topic, after all.
Yeah, inability to choose the same thing twice is problematic XD Most of my characters fall under some variation of the "good" category, but I avoided categorizing Raines because I just can't figure out what he'd be. Either neutral good or lawful neutral, he's really difficult to place.
It's not that we don't have villains, so much as the villains don't necessarily fall into the category of "evil". It just means they're more complicated than that. Lucain could easily be a villain, in some ways, but he falls under chaotic neutral.
I second Griever on this one xD My 'villain' character is Nadani, but in MR he leans toward Neutral. I'm sure he'll villainize several individuals and have shady motivations for some things, but he's also doing a lot of good for Spira, sooo~ he's really just in it for his own amusement.
At least, at the moment.
The same is true for Luci. He can be considered evil in some settings, but in this one he's just trying to take care of himself, so even if he commits an evil act it's not for the sake of evil itself.
