Tags :: Open Thread, consult me if you're wanting something special Muse Music :: N/A Words :: 776 Notes :: Fraeya has awoken! -------------------------------------------------------------------------- There was a light shining in her eyes that made her close them again and shield them against the source as she sat up. She was lying on what seemed to be an inclined platform that had been overtaken by a small cover of water. She was soaked from head to foot, the cloth she was wearing stuck to her body as she stood up. She looked around her, finding her environment to be quite alien. ON one side of her was an open sea, vibrant and beautiful. On the other, ruins. Ruins of what seemed to be a once great city rested peacefully in the water and against the base of what seemed to be a mountain pass. A great city it seemed to have been. Its rubble insinuated that it’s architecture allowed for a large portion of the city to be raised above the very sea itself and it extended from the land out into the sea a good way. What seemed to be globs of light floated around whimsically throughout what ruins she could see. They were beautiful but brought a sad feeling to her heart at the same time. She shivered as a breeze rushed over her from the sea and decided she should move closer inland. There was no straight path that could just be walked on back to the main land, and she might have to do a bit of swimming to get there too. She touch the hilts of her blades lightly to make sure they were still where she wanted them, and with a effortless leap, cleared a 50 foot distance in one bound. It wasn’t the idea that she cleared such a distance in one bound that astonished her, because she knew she was capable of it. What astonished her was how easily she managed to do it. She looked around again from the new platform she’d landed on, observing her surroundings with more than just her eyes. She could feel power emanating from this place. It was like Mako, a pure force that erupted her abilities in an instant. It was a constant flow, like on you’d get charging an empty battery. She had no idea how long she’d been in this place, maybe an hour or two at most? Regardless, this place was empowering her. There was no such place that had been found before that had such an attribute, and the discovery excited her. Within two minutes of jumping, running, and swimming, she made it ashore to the land, not even breaking a sweat from the work. It was here she heard activity that sounded familiar. Voices a distance away, along with clangs and other sounds of construction. They were attempting to build in this place? She disregarded the thought and lingered near the water's edge, eventually, sitting down in the sand to stare off idly out to the sea. "My name... is Fraeya?"She frowned at the water rushing up the beach lightly, then retracting back again. She was a failed experiment of the Shinra Company's JENOVA project, an inhumane series of experiments involving the integration of JENOVA cells into a host through variable methods. She had had the cells injected into her when she was a full fledged trooper working for the company. However, the cells she had been injected with did not produce the results the researchers had wanted. While the cells enhanced her abilities like any other SOLDIER; as most the elite of the Shinra's SOLDIER were results of the experiments; they did not enhance her body, so she could not reach her full potential without assistance. IT was also soon learned that she had to consume a pure energy to be able to fully use her abilities. The solution for this was her consumption of Mako, but it did not solve her physical frailty. Due to this culmination of things, she was deemed a failed experiment. The last she'd known, she was to be "disposed of". And now she was in this place. It was much different than the oceans and land she was familiar with, as even the air felt different. IT was hard to describe. It didn't seem to interact any differently then the places she had been, but it just didn't feel like it was related to those places at all. It felt like a new world. She laid back on the ground to gaze up at the sky and found no comfort there, either. "This place even has a different sky."

"new" Myria pronouced the word in her mouth. It formed on her tounge, and it was funny what the word ment. It said that something was completly unexpierenced to her...and this world was by far more true to that word then many realized(or so Myria assumed). Fact is this world was new to her, newer still was the place she stumbled upon.
Hidden by a crested hill the fait smell of water wreathed around her. It took Myria only seconds to feel the pressnece of the energy the location held. She climbed the hill with enthusiasm expecting some grand city filled with life. Unfortunetly for Myria the top of the hill presented somethign far bewildering. Ruin, but a mystic kind of ruin. The land was filled with buildings sunk to the water's depths. The land was simple soil. The ruins were majestic in the crashing simplicity that wore down their edges.
What made this location even more stunning for Myria was the shear amount of energy that surged from it. Little wisps of light dances on the edge of the blue that surrouned the landmass she was on. The wisps easily awoke her inner self, she could feel herself already absorbing the energy in the air. The shear amount seemed to overload her, for it surged into her till her fingertips sparks slightly. She was tingling all over, her body was covered in goosebumps. The shear energy shocked her to her core. There was so much here...It was breathtakeing.
She walked down the hill, or rather i should say ran. She felt vigorous, almost imensley enpowered. Her hair was fuller already, and her eyes were glowing gently, faintly. This place was so amazing. What is this place? it was the only thing besides joy that flashed in her raceing mind.
She began to jump about the landmass, and eventualy stoped at the edge. Further away she could see another landmass. Between the two locations sat several lumps of dirt. "Should I jump it?" She choose obviosly the more direct option. She took a step back and jumped. She was by no way acrobatic, and landed with a sort of unbalance that made her wobble for support. She continued the jumps till she landed on the other side...Or rather fell onto her bottom on hte other side. She lost her balance at the last landing and quite succesfully fell to the earth below her. She by no way was sad.
The woman Myria by far was enjoying herself when she stood up. The dirt already was gone because she wiped it off with her fingertips and precceded to walk foward again. "What I wonder is located her...maybe some deep secrets...All this magic points to something..." She whispred to hereself...Or So she thought she was alone.
It was not till she turned around that she noticed the girl sitting by the edge of the tide. She was a pretty woman, most certainly giveing off gentle tides of energy herself. Myria could feel her...and slowly and silently snuck up on her. She really just wanted to say high, but the fun she was haveing made her feel awfully dastardly. She slipped all the way up to the girl and then suddenly spoke, "Hi I'm Myria!" she spoke it loud, and with enthusiasm. She was happy to see life, espeicaly a girl who had her own lifeforce(hence the energy). She was well ready to meet a new face in this...majestic but rather empty place...

She smiled slightly at the energetic voice that popped out of no where and looked up at the girl who proclaimed herself. "Myria eh? Sounds like a nice name." She sat up slightly, smiling. "I'm Fraeya. You're awefully energetic, aren't you?" She couldn't help but smile at the girl, who seemed like she could take off at a dead sprint and back and not be winded at all.
Fraeya patted the ground beside her lightly, sitting up to a full sitting position. "So, what brings you to a desolate place such as this?" She asked, studying the girl. She brushed a lock of hair that had gotten in front of her eyes aside, smiling slightly. Normally, people would get unnerved at her crimson hues, but she also normally wasn't smiling; at all. This place had a good feeling to it and it made her naturally happy. Drastically unlike the Shinra Labs, which she related to a dungeon more oft than naught.
Finding this girl in this new world first thing might mean something, though. For all she knew, she could be dreaming, and all of this was some her mind created for some ungodly reason. However, she doubted it. She felt a feeling of protectivity over the girl she just met. It might just her being silly, but she just wanted that girl's smile to never change. It was refreshing, and made her smile more.
Smile like she had when she lived with her mother.

Energetic was a understatement. Myria simply delighted in the new scenery, and the magic that filled it. It gave her energy. She saw the girl pat the ground beside her and sat down with a prompt plop. "Well, in the place you'd be energetic to right?" She giggled a little and waved her fingers in the air and laughed. The energy that flowed in her gave her a brisk, yet very faint glow.
When the woman spoke her name, Myria commited it to memory. "Fraeya...Well thats simply eloquent!" She spoke a bit fast, but her smile convayed that she liked it. It had a ring to it, a certain finesse. Something she almost certainly was never to forget. But the woman who sat in front of her was something else to say the least. One thing Myria most certainly noticed was the energy near her. Or rather the lack of.
It was faint, but the magic that came to her simply disipated a bit, as if it were weakened. A normal person would never notice this, but Myria and her gifts could. She then heard the question asking why. "Well you know..The sights of course". It was a quick lie, one ment to dissuade the woman from digging more. The trueth be told, it was the energy of the place, the magic had called her to it in a metaphysical sense of course. It never really told her to come, but the energy was so bounty-full she almost had to take a visit.
When Myria took a delighted smile to the woman she noticed the woman's smile. It was serene, very generous. But she could tell by her facial musles, and wrinkles and etc. She never smiled much. Then it occured to ask simply "So why are you smiling?" She knew what happy was supposed to feel like. And she felt happy, but of course she did not know what made other happy. The feeling of energy made her smile, she was never truely happy in that regard. But the tingles were a nice sensation.
But before the woman could speak again, myria being the unfounded girl she was, reached out and touched her. Why? Well, Myria knew nothing about boundries, she had difficulty knowing what that even ment. Further more, she was curious to see the reaction to the woman and her touch. Partialy the energy-devouring that is. Her hand met of course the most inapropriate place ever. The area just above the womans breast. She felt it for a second, placed some pressure, and then it hit. She could feel little after little the energy in her get siphoned out. It was so faint she barely noticed it, and withdrew her hand imediatly. "Funny" She spoke like she was embarresed. More or less she was confused. She wondered if the woman felt anything from the touch either. But then she decided to bounce back with a question. "and what are you doing here?". That paired with the question from before gave her plenty to talk about that is for sure.

“Well in this place you’d be energetic too right?” This line, coming from the girl whom she’d just met, Myria, brought her mind back to the place they were in. She was more energetic than normal. In the Shinra Labs she’d been all but imprisoned in, she didn’t remember much aside from the experiments she was made to undertake. For all the other time, she’d slept. The initial application of the Jenova Cells into her body enhanced her abilities while leaving her physical state as it was. Thus, she had to consume a proper amount of energy with which to reinforce her body to fully use her abilities. From what she could feel of this place, it was vibrant with some source of energy, but she’d have to stay here a week or so to be able to use her full abilities. Thus, the air around her was radiant, almost giving everything an aura of it’s own. In this fact, the girl who sat down beside was exceptional. It was obvious that the place was having some effect on her, or maybe that she was a resident even.
“Fraeya… well that’s simply eloquent!” The words widened the smile that was already on Fraeya’s face. She couldn’t say she’d even talked this much to anyone since she’d been made a SOLDIER. The only things she could remember saying directly to people were things like “Yes, sir,” and other such trivialities. Then she escaped; fought for her life. It wasn’t hard, just getting out of the place. Once she’d gotten Mako, it was only a matter of performing. No SOLDIER could match her speed, and thus, as a scout she was indispensable. If she’d had an innumerable supply of Mako, she could’ve kept on like that, even brought Shinra to its knees. She’d run out though, a small distance into Midgar. She couldn’t remember much of what happened after that, it was all a blur.
"Well you know… the sights of course." It was undeniable, this place was beautiful. However, it didn’t seem to be a place where tourists would come and stay. That or there might be a place nearby where tourists were more commonly staying. Either way, the girl said it in a curious manner, but Fraeya didn’t dwell much on it. She hadn’t had much normal human interaction since she’d been taken away by Shinra from her mother.
That fact alone what made what came next almost freeze her in time. Myria, had reached out and laid a hand on her chest. She almost panicked at the touch, resisting the urge to jump away. Only a second after, the girl had retracted her hand. “Funny.” Fraeya just stared at the girl, at a loss for words. The smile on her face had disappeared, replaced by a look of bewilderment. Her touch… had felt good. It wasn’t like that of the Shinra scientists, who had altered her; taken her apart and put her back together. Even through the clothe she wore, the touch felt invigorating, almost intimate. She blushed slightly and stared at the ground in front of her. What had just happened? She shouldn’t react the way she was, unless there was more to it than just her touch? She gazed at the girl curiously. She’d have to touch the girl again to be sure, so she could only speculate.
"And what are you doing here?" Fraeya was so lost in thought, she almost didn’t hear the girl’s question. She frowned and her gaze locked onto the horizon again. Why was she here? She’d just awoken in this place, and her brain was muddled. No place like this existed in Midgar, so she knew she wasn’t there. What had she been doing before she woke up here? What had brought her here. All she could do was make an honest reply.
“I… don’t know…”

Well the girl defintly felt something to from the touch. But Myria, being herself could not really tell what Fraeya had felt. But Myria was smart enough not to ask...Oppertunites would present themselves later that would be for sure. Myria always liked to touch people. At least touching gave her a way feelings that could not be felt by others. Energy you see, depicted emotions to Myria, levels of it in others often showed signs of particular emotions. Is it was easier to do such as picking up levles of depression(when energy was very low), or Excitment(when it was extreamly high). Fraeya's energy was completly a mystery.
Myria smiled deeply at the spoken words. Fraeya must have been honest, and in that regard, she gave a simply laugh and stood up quickly. She dusted dirt from the bottom of her shorts and shook her head slightly. "If you don't know, then help me go sightseeing" She thought it to be a good excuse to take the girl with her. The woman was so intreuging Myria could not resist the temptation.
Next came yet another touch. She bent over and grabbed the womans hand. It felt warm, whilst Myria's was marginaly colder. Maybe it was this place, but again the grip between them made a connection of sorts. Myria felt a lapse in her energy. Like something suddenly reached out and took some, and then it began to siphon to the woman. THe siphoning was not at all Myria's choice, but she had not chosen to let go either. Becuase ofthe feelings that touch gave her, Myria refused to let go in fact. The siphon was a little hungry, but Myria did have plenty of energy to spare. So she almost was enjoying it, the feeling of not haveing control of it.
She pulled the woman up to her feet with one strong gank, and then laughed. "THis place has a foreboeding sense to it. I bet thier are Monsters in it. So just in case you can protect me!" She almost commited the woman to the task without asking, and started to pull her along. She stoped after a few feet and smiled back at her. "You lead, Just don't let go"..She was almost obvious that she did not want to stop that feeling. So she waited for the Woman to start leading. This was going to be fun.

“If you don’t know, then help me go sightseeing.” Fraeya turned and smiled at the girl lightly as she got up. It was a prospect that seemed nice enough. She hadn’t been awake for too long, and she was more energetic than normal, so why not see what there was to see?
Fraeya saw the girl’s hand coming, but didn’t move. As she watched it approach, she wondered at what she would find out from it. She even became a little scared at what she might learn. When the girl’s hand touched hers, she felt it again. This time, however, she didn’t miss one detail. The girl’s hand was warm, yet cold, and Fraeya felt her hand get hotter, and the warmth began to spread throughout her body. She was taking energy from the girl; that she was certain of. She almost expected the girl to recoil immediately. There was no way the girl wouldn’t notice, especially so if she was some sort of body of energy. The prospect seemed weird, but in this place, it was at the very least plausible to her.
Before Fraeya could say anything, she was forced onto her feet by the girl, who laughed lightly. “This place has a foreboding sense to it. I bet there are Monsters in it. So just in case you can protect me!” The girl wasn’t at all incorrect. The place was serene, but had a feeling that if one were careless, they would be quick to find their story ended here. Fraeya herself knew not to underestimate places like this; she had lost much when she’d ignored the feeling to run when Shinra came for her.
What happened in the next second was all but a blur. She’d pulled the girl close to her and half thrown-half tossed her out of harm’s way, all while drawing Nayami to block the imminent blow. To her surprise, the blade couldn’t hold against it, and she felt the flesh on her chest and abdomen being torn apart, as if ripped into by multiple blades. The force of the blow flung her across the beach and into the water like a ragdoll. She’d lost her breath as soon as she hit the ground, but due to her training as a SOLDIER, she stood up immediately, not wasting a moment. She’d lost her grip on Nayami and couldn’t locate it. She’d have to use just Koigokoro against the foe that had torn her up like this. But… just what was it?
It was a huge beast, its body covered in fur, with tusks that protruded out each side of its mouth, framing the very deadly set of teeth it was probably planning to use. It had hit her with one of its paws, which each had talon-like claws on them. She took a moment to take stock in her injuries. It had torn the clothe on her abdomen open, digging into the skin only a small way. If it had gone any deeper, it would have disemboweled her completely. It had also cut her chest, dangerously close to her throat. In that regard, it had crippled her right arm.
This enemy was strong. The thought passed through her mind only momentarily. This was an enemy she couldn’t even hope to match in terms of strength. It had broken her guard and tossed her to the side like it was nothing. She would have to utilize her speed to its fullest to beat it. She absent mindedly reached into her pack at her side before she stopped herself; she’d ran out of Mako a long time ago. The only thing she could do was to run; she couldn’t beat this foe with her current state of injuries. She could’ve beat it if she had the use of Nayami, but there was no use in thinking of the “what-ifs”. Then she remembered the girl.
The girl wouldn’t be able to escape from it; she was what the thing had come for. The thing was after her to devour her energy. If Fraeya stayed, she’d die; she couldn’t beat the thing as she was. If she ran, the girl would die; that fact was certain. She would just have to hinder it then. She couldn’t tell herself she couldn’t win, otherwise she wouldn’t.
She locked onto the beast and silently cursed. It was aiming for Myria after all. She’d have to attack it now, or it would all be over. With a curse, she launched herself at the beast, slicing at it with all her strength as she flew past it. (Flying Swallow :: Deathborne) The beast let out a roar and reared back. She’d struck it in the head, leaving a gash straight over its eyes. She couldn’t rely on it only hunting by sight, though.
Fraeya rushed over to Myria, ignoring as best she could the searing pain she felt shoot throughout her body. Without Mako, traveling at those speeds was like a timebomb waiting to self-destruct. If she used too many of those attacks she'd kill herself. Sheathing Koigokoro along the way, she retrieved Nayami, which had apparently been flung out with Myria. “We need to go, now!”

Myria was completly caught of guard by the toss. SHe was flung to the ground, and skitted across it. It hurt her buttox thouroghly..but then again, it hurt a lot less then what happened to Fraeya. Freaya was torn assunder it seemed from the large hulking monster that layed in front of her.
Myria was almost completly out of sorts by the ordeal. The super-fast cut to the creatures face, the way it was growling. She had no clue what to do. She stood up, but still wondering what to do. Fraeya then came to the rescue and stood next to her. She orded them to go. But Myria did not feel that running would work. This beast already began to move its body. It then stood up on its hind quarters and stood very still.
It was at this moment it became do or die for Myria. She knew exactly what it was doing, the collection of magic pileing into its general vicinity. It was going to cast a spell, by the looks of it, a lightning one. Myria did not want to reveal herself, espeicly not to the new girl. But it was now or never. She pushed Fraeya away slightly and walked foward.
This was what Myria was best at. She threw out her hands, palms flat, and extened outward. THe air aroudn ehr came ot a still, and in front of her hands a wave of magic began to channel out of the beast. THe magic was strong, and elecriticy danced around her body as she absorbed it, her body itself even glew as if she was starting to hold the charge. The lightning danced about her, and suddenly the beast stoped casting. Why? Becuase Myria had absorbed the entire spell, everything it was to do before it could. She then waved her hands about her levitated up into the sky.
For a second there was calm, and the Behemoth rushed foward. Then Myria began to channel. Elecricty sparked forth from her body, and her skin began to glow. The air aroudn her became staticly charged, and her hair began to sparkle. Lightning and thunder clapped about her, exploding in brilliant sparkles, and extreamly galient lights. The Behemoth got just close enough to feel one spark, a single one that shocked it back. Weakened but not out it came close and closer to hitting Myria. But Myria was smart. SHe cut of the channel...and let the final outcome of the spell reach its peak.
The Magic consolidated above it, creating a vibrant circle or yellow and greens and whites. "Feel the shock!" She screamed and suddenly the elecricty shot out in a cone. THe behemoth was caught up into a torrent of lightnign whips and lashes, before it was all over, the smell of chared flesh and burned fur made itself aparrent.
But the Behemoth was far from out. Only stunned, weakened. THe lighting did little but set it back, it was still moveing, still growling. Myria had not expected that. She took a few steps back and saw the woman who had helped her earlier. THe beast was blind, and wildly thrashing about, stuned and in obvious pain. Static dazzled aroudn its fur, what fur was left. But she could not kill it, that was for sure.
Fraeya could though. The massive speed from before, the damage she did. She could kill it! She Myria has already exposed most of her self, what was a little more. She was close to the woman, and made a dash for her. She reached her in only spare seconds and placed her hands on her. Then wave after wave of healing energy expanded into the woman. The wounds closed, the scars healed, and then something happened. Myria felt another lapse in the energy waves. This time something did not just eat, somethign devoured. It devoured plenty of her energy, enough that it could have powered a small train. Myria felt suddenly weaker...And the weakness was only met with a sudden slash from the behemoth that sent her fly into the shoreline nearby. She splashed onto it, bleeding, but otherwise fine...She was tired though..so tired she fell asleep. She needed energy, and she would have more by the time she awakened...

She could only stand there and watch in shock. Watch, as the girl performed high level magic without material. Watch as the beast was pushed back. Watch as it was struck by lightning, yet still stood standing. Watch as the so frail girl rushed to her and healed her wounds. And what’s terribly more; watch as the girl was tossed to the side by the rampaging beast.
A small amount of rage started to fill Fraeya. Her wounds were healed, yet she didn’t do anything to prevent the girl getting hurt. She couldn’t. Yet, there the girl lay, down by the shore. The small rage grew larger. Why didn’t she prevent it again, she knew she could’ve gotten the girl out of harm’s way. So why wouldn’t her body just have acted, done what she knew she should’ve. The rage grew into a fury. This beast, came out of nowhere, its lust for power drawing it to the girl. Such a thing should be allowed life. It shouldn’t even exist.
She must erase it.
Erase it as they erased her mother from her life. Erase it as they erased her humanity. Erase it as they were going to erase her.
Erase it as she erased the lives of those who opposed her freedom.
She drew Koigokoro from its sheath, holding both blades in either hand tightly, glaring at the beast, which still had its attention focused on Myria. “Hey… you…” She took a step forward lightly, gauging her limit. The beast turned towards the sound, letting out a roar. She could see its movements. It was as if time had slowed, but she moved normally.
“Die.” She flew towards it, striking it nine times before delivering a kick to its chest which sent it flying into the air. (Tornado :: Angel’s Fury) The energy the girl had given her was almost as effective as consuming Mako. She could at least do this much with it. She threw Koigokoro and Nayami out to either side, where they darted at the beast in the air. It was all a matter of course now. She watched as the blades tore into the beast, leaving innumerable gashes on it, controlling each blade with just a thought. When she felt the limit being reached, she recalled the blades, catching each of their hilts as they darted back to her.
She leapt at it again as it fell to the earth, and with one clean stroke, cleaned off its head. (Flying Swallow :: Deathborne) She landed lightly, almost gracefully, sheathing both blades before the body even hit the ground. It had been so long since she could use those abilities, and those were just minor skills she’d attained from her SOLDIER training and the Jenova Cells. She turned and ran to where Myria lay, kneeling down beside her. She was careful not to touch her. The girl had given her a large sum of energy; large enough, it seemed, that it made her pass out. Fraeya picked her up and moved her up the beach a small distance to a dryer place. She removed her cape and laid it on the ground before laying the girl on it. She sat down beside the girl, frowning at the beast’s newly dead carcass. Where there was one, there was more. She’d have to remain vigilant.

It took a bit before Myria began to stir. In fact it took at least half a hour for her to move even a bit. But soon enough she slid up to a sit, and her body itself was very weak..but moveable. She looked around and saw Faeya, and saw the dead beast. She almsot took a bit of a push back, away from the woman.
You see, her secret was out, she hated that. She hated when people knew about it. She hated when people looked at her wrong. Hate was an emotion she did realize. She slid her hands to her shoulders, they were cold. She did not want to talk, or speak. She was afraid of the woman, what she would think or do.
Myria sat in silence for a time. The wonderfull scenery, and magic charging her like a battery did not make her feel better. She gripped her body with a increasingly hard grasp. She was scared, embaressed even. "Th-" she stuttered a word, the first word in a little bit(or rather sound). "Th-thank you" she told Fraeya and stood up. She was not expecting the change of events, or how sudden it was. She laughed a bit, and was surprised at her recovery. She was already fine and dandy, and now did not know what to do.

Fraeya just smiled at the girl’s new coyness, and stood up beside her. The girl obviously was nervous about something, but what that was was beyond her. She smiled at the girl amusedly. “Shyness doesn’t suite you.” She reached out patted the girl on the head. She had stopped taking in energy from the air around her, and due to the result of this test, the girl as well. It seemed the dose she had earlier was enough to sate the Jenova cells for now.
In light of this fact, she wondered at the girl. She had sated the Jenova cells’ hunger for energy enough for Fraeya to use minor abilities and have no issues afterwards. If she could truly do that, then the girl would prove an invaluable ally. That, however, would be use of someone for their abilities alone; akin to how SOLDIER were used. She shook her head, still smiling. “I’m not going to lie, that ability you have is extraordinary.” She walked away slightly, to the water’s edge.
She couldn’t figure out what more to say. She could speak her honest mind and tell the girl that she wanted to stay near her, but that might make the girl think it was only because the girl could fuel her. In all reality, Fraeya had no one to go to. This girl was the only person she relatively knew, and that was only by the off chance that they had met in this place. It would be hard to convey her true reason without sounding corny. However, she owed the girl an explanation, and she would give it.
She walked back to the girl, resting her right hand on her hip and studying her lightly. “Your ability –whatever it is, no need for details- let me kill that thing, and therefore I owe you an explanation of my skills.” She rested her left hand on Nayami’s hilt, swirling it on the belt slightly as she spoke. “I am a ex-SOLDIER first class. I am the result of a failed experiment based on the application of the Jenova Cells into a living, developed human. The abilities the Jenova cells grant me allow me beyond human speed; as you saw before you healed me.” She paused a moment. Her voice had gone cold the moment she started explaining her abilities. She didn’t like what she was, but she knew she had to live with it. “The cells granted me that ability, however, they did not fully reinforce my body to handle the speed…” She frowned and stopped swirling Nayami in its sheath. “Thus in order to utilize my abilities, I must consume a large amount of energy, which allows the Jenova cells to reinforce my body fully for a time. The method I most commonly used was the direct consumption of Mako; a pure energy source.” She smiled at the girl at that point, appreciatively. “However, your ability it seems charged me a good bit. If we were to think of it as a matter of power, I’m at three-fourths of my full strength,” She motioned to the dead monster. “Which is more than enough for these things. The charge should last for a day or two before the cells become hungry again.” She kept smiling at her. It was the most she’d talked to someone in ten years.
She reached out and laid her hand on the girl’s shoulder tentatively, almost forgetting the cells lay dormant. “We should leave here. It’s obvious it’s dangerous. Staying here would only bring more of those things, and I don’t care to kill them all.” She turned away from Myria and started walking towards the ruins which had emanated the sounds of machinery earlier. “There might be people over this way, we should check.”

Myria was uneasy about the whole 'explanation'. She tried hard to belive it, and in her gut, she felt she could. But whatever a jenova cell was, and what she ment by expiriment ment as litte to her as speaking in a foreign language. She acted like she understood though and smiled lightly.
It was at this point that she felt no need to hold her secrets back any more. The whole ordeal made a bond between the two, one that Myria felt as whole. It was a fragile one still, but the bond was thier. She tursted the woman, more then she would most strangers. It was odd that they somehow just became such freinds from a simple battle and meet. She gave a laugh, and the red in her cheeks went away. She felt that lieing to the woman would serve no purpose anymore so she came out with as much of th trueth as the would could possibly understand.
"Well, if your gonna be honest, then I should be to!" She giggle and scaned the area for beasts. "I am a sorceress...Well, i'm 11 of them. I was a test subject..." She drifted off, just now realizing a further similarity between the two. "We were both projects! Well is that not something!" She spoke happily, with a perk. "I am a conduit...My body is like a huge battery. In essence magic in the air flows into me constently, and then I can take said energy and control it..." She gave simple explantaion, compared to the one Fraeya gave her. But she did not need a particularly potent one..just a basic overview. More could be revealed as thier travels went.
But before Myria could not a reaction, she realized that Fraeya was a few steps ahead of her. Myria felt a sudden jolt in her body...She did not want to leave the woman's side. She lept foward yelling loudly "Don't leave me!" And grabed onto her hand. Strangly the energy sucking was not happening this time..but Myria was just happy to feel safe. Why this woman made her feel somethign she never could describe or understand was a mystery to Myria. But it was intresting.
They contuneued the steps towards the Mechanic sounds for a bit. Myria, as they approached only gripped tighter...and tighter. She did not like the danger to the sounds. It did not sound very "nice". She burried her head into Fraeya's arm and snuggled close. Clinging with every bit of her strenght. She could not even guess why...But she liked being this close.

Fraeya was surprised, but not at all displeased when the girl clung to her arm. The feeling she had was odd, to say the least, but it wasn’t something she didn’t like. The girl had explained her ability in a simple manner, as opposed to Fraeya’s lengthy monotone; but that was all the girl needed to say. Myria, was a magic conduit, and her being a sorceress explained the magic attack earlier. On the flipside, Fraeya was a consumer. However, she did not think their abilities had anything to do with what she was feeling right now.
Her arm was burning. Everywhere the girl touched her she felt the girl’s heat. It wasn’t like when she was absorbing energy from the girl; it was a more intimate feeling. As they walked, she tried to shut out the feeling, to keep herself vigilant incase another monster attacked. It wasn’t that she was all too worried about the monsters either; it was just that the feeling of the girl clinging to her arm made her want the girl to stay like that forever. She was half tempted to remove the gauntlet on the arm the girl was clinging to, just to feel that feeling under her fingers.
She almost visibly shook her head at the thought. She was getting distracted. If it was this easy to distract a SOLDIER, then Wutai had been horribly misinformed. They approached the ruins, which had no real level path. Instead, it was literally more like a pile of scattered fallen buildings in this area than anything. There definitely would be no “walking” for this. Then she got a mischievous thought.
She half-frowned-half-smiled at the path they had to take. “Hmmmm… you know… it would be faster traveling if I were just to carry you.” She turned her smile on the girl, a small glint in her eye. Before Myria could reply, Fraeya had her off her feet and in her arms, leaping off the ground lightly and onto a far platform. It was just a casual pace compared to how fast she could go at this point, but she figured it would be a right pace for the situation.

Myria was unsure how she should feel. Being a mass of pure energy, she did not fully udnerstand emotions, and the emotions she felt from Fraeya were not anything she had felt before. It felt similar to her parents, but it felt so much more personal. It felt so much closer. This feeling was only further exploited when Fraeya lifted her up.
This sudden closeness, it almost made Myria blush. She gripped tightly to the woman who now was jumping about. The ruins just added to the mood it seemed, as Myria took a second to stop looking at her new compainion, and now looked at the scenery. What she saw only amazed her further, it was wonderfull.
The Water filled the bottom of the rooms, but they had entered what seemed to be a large, ruined dome. The inside was filled with those glowing light, that danced like sprits entertwined in fate's wind. The water was strangly purple in hue, but amazingly deep in sense. Swords, staffs, weapons of old stood as testements to the many adventurers who had been here before. They were rusted, old, and the places they were layed far off. But still it brought sense to Myria, when sense could not be maken.
This place despite the danger, dispite the forboedment, was a wonderfull place. A Ruin of anceint battles, gracefull dances, and amazing people. How old it was Myria did not know, but it was certainly nothing she had seen before. Upon enterign the dome they were no longer on mud and clay earth, but rather hewn stone and ruined rock. The ruined place layed out whole pathways, and a massive exapnse inside the dome. It felt so quiet here. She stoped her smile, and this time just took a breath.
It felt diffrent, being in a place like this. She then felt this sudden sound, a loud ungodly sound. It was a machine, and it shattered the entire atmosphere of the peacefull land. It was sad...This place deserved rest, Myria could feel it. But rest was not being given by those machines. She felt anger, she had no clue why. But she felt it, and felt so strongly she even began to radiate energy. Like her fury increase her rate of expansion, she felt the need to destroy the machinery, and anyone who were to distrurb the ashes of this place without respect.
She looked to Fraeya with a hardened cowl. It was not ment towards her, but Myria certainly started to feel something. She liked that much, but that machinery was tiresome. It was echoeing, and the close they got the louder it seemed. It was shattering, how utterly ungracefull the Machines banged and clammered about the decedant old place. "Those machines are getting....on my nerves" she growled...she was least happy about this. But why? Why did this disturb her so? This was a question that would never be answered...

Fraeya stopped her pace at Myria’s words. She stood there, holding the girl in her arms, who seemed uneasy, angered, for some reason. She had noticed the sounds as well, and they were definitely out of place; but she knew the reason behind them.
It was the process of rebuilding, as many civilizations do after a great catastrophe. It seemed, however, this place had laid dormant for a very long time. If her assumption was correct, the “wisps” of sorts, were probably similar beings to those that dwell in the lifestream which Shinra had been exploiting. Regardless, they all dwelled in these ruins. It was their home, and for better or for worse, it seemed whatever civilization that once dwelled here wanted the place back. Maybe it hadn’t been a good idea to head towards the sounds. Maybe they should forgo the place and wander up the mountain? That seemed like the best option at this point.
Fraeya turned and leapt at a platform veering away from the sound, and instead, to the mountain. At this rate, if the mountain wasn’t too big, she could have herself and Myria on the other side before nightfall. “We’re going to head over the mountain.” She declared, smiling down at Myria. “We won’t bother with the machines here, alright? I can probably have us over the mountain by nightfall.” She pulled the girl tighter to herself as she increased her pace to the fastest she judged the girl could handle. She might have to rest a time or two on the way up. She might be fast, but she’s fairly weak in terms of actual physical strength. She could only keep up such a fast pace for so long.
She hit a platform hard, forcing her knees to give slightly; the shock almost made her fall forward. However, she regained her balance and stood up straight, frowning slightly. “It’s been so long, I’m being careless…” With those words, she leapt from the platform to the next, and the next, and the next. All the way to the mountain pass base.
