He has however managed to get his hand on a Manadrive for EnFire which grants the Fire Element to weapons causing burning damage.
Summon: "Summon? You mean an Eidolon? Like in the Fairytales?"
Appearance: Aster is a tall man with shoulder length dark blue hair. His hair tends to stand up at odd angles giving the man a wild look. His tanned complexion, how that happened on Cocoon is a mystery to all who know him, and amber angular eyes just add to the wild look. He has an angular face structure.
He usually wears a dark blue muscle shirt, a few shades darker then his hair, with a black leather coat on the back. The coat contains his stolen Manadrive. He wears dark colored pants along with black combat boots giving him a sort of rebel drill sergent look.
Personality: "Man why do you guys have to be so noisy we were trying to take a nap here."
For the most part Aster is extremely lazy. One of his motto's being "Why do today what you can put off till tomorrow." If it weren't for the fact that he's got to make a living he would laze the whole day away.
"Yeah yeah keep on being rowdy in our shop just know you'll be paying for everything you break."
Though most shops are run through terminals some things can't be so impersonal. Repairing the peoples vehicles is one example of the less impersonal businesses that still exist. Since Aster owns his own shop he's very proud of it and thus frowns upon any uncivil activity that may happen within it.
"Alright that's it I think we've had just about enough out of you. The only question now is whether you want to become a shish kabob or swiss cheese."
He has a very low tolerance for bullying, quite possibly do to his own experiences, as such this is one of the few ways to get under his skin. Even the most minor of insults will find the point of his gunblade at their throat, or barrel if he has it in gun mode in which case his finger will be on the trigger. He especially dislikes seeing someone bullying children.
"Who says that we have to listen to you?"
Aster seems to suffer from a form of multiple personality disorder referring to himself in the plural 'we' more often then not. He also has a strong dislike for authority figures his sense of self preservation being the only reason he doesn't actively try to instigate anything against the Sanctum.
"Huh sorry didn't catch that. We were to busy.. with something. Ah whatever not important."
He also has a very bad case of ADD his mind jumping from one thing to the next. Most of the time his mind will focus on the most trivial of things. Oddly enough this does not affect him when he's working on a machine or vehicle nor when he's in a battle. Which leads many to believe that his ADD is selective.
History: Aster spent most of his life in Palumpolom. His father had been a low ranking grunt of the Guardian Corp who ended up being killed by a monster while on assignment to the Gapra Whitewood when he was eight. This is one of his reasons for disliking authority figures.
The Voices
A few years later shortly after he turned 12 is when he tried to tell his mother and a Sanctum assigned therapist at his school that he was hearing voices. They had him tested at first but when the tests came back saying he was normal they deemed him a child with an overactive imagination. It even went to the extent that his mother would ignore his cries to make the voices stop.
Shortly after hearing the voices is when the other kids started to really bully him. He had been bullied a bit before do to his looks but it got much worse when he started hearing the voices.
Eventually the voices would become tolerable and were almost like a constant white noise to him. It was at this time that he started to refer to himself with the plural pronoun 'we'. His dislike for authority also intensified at this point.
The Purge
Until The Purge ordered by the Sanctum nothing major happened in his life. He had just opened his shop a year before it happened and business was good so far. Especially whenever the Guardian Corps needed their Velocycles or weapons looked at.
With the purge his eyes were opened to the true terror that those with power could cause. Hundreds of people were ruthlessly slaughtered because the Sanctum ordered it to happen. He knew better then to believe that the people were sent to Pulse, and even if they were that was the same as slaughtering them. Or at least that's what he had thought.
He was at his shop when the L'Cie managed to enter Palum Polom and knowing that things could get ugly he decided to leave. He stole his Gunblade from one of the equipment trucks nearby a long with the Manadrive he owns. He decided to hide out until everything cooled down knowing he didn't have enough experience to fight Psicom soldiers.
After the Fall
After the fall of Cocoon he began to train himself to properly use the Manadrive and Gunblade he had stolen. He spent the next two years training and managed to reopen his shop in a sparsely populated area on Gran Pulse. He decided to mostly focus on fixing or upgrading weapons and common supplies since vehicles were less common on Gran Pulse.
