No one could explain it, or even understand it, but suddenly, worlds that had never known of each others' existence were simultaneously torn apart and thrown together, shifting and clashing to form a new world, greater than anyone could immediately perceive. The most advanced civilizations were side by side with the smallest kingdoms, and not one person in any of them seemed to have an answer for what it meant.
What none knew - could know - was that it was a deliberate act, and that it didn't go as planned. There were side effects that no one could anticipate: the dead were returning to life, freed by the clashing of the energies that flowed through the worlds. The Merge succeeded, but it was incomplete, and those who caused it weren't content to leave it that way.
And it wasn't long before discord began to rise among the contradicting people of the new world. Cultures and beliefs clashed; greed and lust for power turned to the overtures of war. A year later, the Merged world has finally begun to settle, but the semblance of peace is volatile at best.
A conflict is stirring like the worlds have never seen.
