Runalin is markedly taller than most Humes, with the long limbs and pointed ears characteristic of his race. His straight hair falls just past his shoulders, framing his face in a pale silver close to the shade of his eyes. What musculature he possesses is mostly concentrated in his arms and upper body - the mark of a competent swordsman - but overall his build is slender, accentuating his height so that he appears somewhat taller than he really is. His primary attire is the red and black garb of the red mage, a matching set of robes, boots, gloves, and hat, accentuated with white and gold.

Runalin is focused and observant, difficult to anger and comfortably at ease among friends. He has learned the value of patience and caution, and as a result will rarely go into battle without a plan or without quickly forming one - even if retreat proves to be the best course of action. This makes him a capable leader, should the need arise, though it isn't a position that he actively strives for.
